The student teachers from the National Tainan University Department of Chinese Language and Literature, driven by their passion for education, organized an intriguing "Anding Detective Agency" detective literature camp for the children of Anding Elementary School. Over the course of five days, this detective experience was based on detective novels and integrated various Chinese language elements such as reading comprehension, calligraphy, and textual studies into a thematic curriculum. The children transformed into little detectives, immersing themselves in the joy of solving mysteries.
As we observed the children’s sparkling eyes and radiant smiles, filled with enthusiasm, we felt a deep gratitude for the efforts of these future teachers. As the educational philosopher Herbert Spencer said, "Education is about making children happy and confident, and the means and methods of education should also be joyful. Just like a straw, if the liquid sucked in is bitter, the sweetness flowing out the other end cannot be expected." This detective literature camp seamlessly connected the joy of learning with the children’s smiles, turning education into a delightful and enriching exploration.
